Chi sta meditando su uno scarico nuovo per il suo 335i può farsi una bella cultura qui

 

che ci devo fare, da quando ho cominciato a vomitare pubblicamente sulla Vishnu in e90post quel ***** di V3 ha cominciato a funzionare come un orologio svizzero!

Good morning Godfather,
let's start from the beginning then.
You sent me my V3 which had the usual "preloaded maps" into it. It was installed with its harness, which turned out to be an early release with the black relay. It was a nightmare from the installation onward: limps, check engine light on, etc.
You can understand I was expecting the preloaded maps (1&2) to cope with the harness I was sent.
Everything before I loaded the 7-11 maps, the ones I was not supposed to load since I had a harness with a black relay.
I was so desperate because of the issues that I was eager to try anything you were coming up with.
7-11 stage 0 map at least reduced the limps, but the check engine light was still on.
Dustin thought it was because the relay was an early release, sent me a new one and I got it installed on august the 22nd.
The check engine light was off and kept being off.
Then I installed Gruppe M airbox and RR catless downpipes on august the 26th, only to have a very disappointing results on the dyno jet.
After few talks with Dustin it turned out that the V3 (which was loaded with the Stage 2 map for the occasion) switched to valet mode by default due to some kind of insufficient fan of the dyno.
Makes sense, since I dynoed 330hp at the crank which is what somebody would expect installing that airbox and those DP on a stock 335i.
But at that point I was way beyond being pissed off, since on the same day on the same dyno jet my buddy got a result of 395hp at the crank with his 135i with RR DP, FMI, no airbox and AA piggyback.
You can imagine why I was so pissed off: if the dyno's fan was insufficient for my 335i according to logic it should have been insufficient for the 135i as well.
But, as buddhists say, the darker the night the closer the dawn.
It happened that Godfather Shiv came up with 9-5 maps.
I loaded the Stage 2 non doomsday non torque nanny default map 2 and........for the first time in months I felt glad I bought the V3.
The difference with 7-11 stage 2 is so huge that I suspect something's wrong with my remote, I mean the power delivery and the overall power 9-5 default map 2 has makes me suspect I never really had a map 2 running on my V3, and I had the chance to enjoy it only because you came up with a "default map 2" map on 9-5.
I didn't have the chance to dyno the car after such map was uploaded (I am eager to find a dyno jet with proper fan-cooling first) but the mere fact I trashed an Audi RS4 (latest model) on the highway last monday makes me think that this time around the beast was unleashed.
Better late than ever.

I still have the early release harness, just provide me a valid US address and I'll be sending that to you.
Even if I love the idea to be allowed to keep it as a memory of our honeymoon together

Tecnicamente non aspetto una risposta, ho solo chiarito che limps e spia motore accesa ce li avevo pure prima di caricare le mappe che non andavano caricate col cablaggio che mi era stato mandato (quello col relay nero), e che quindi hanno toppato a mandarmi quel cablaggio che non si sposava bene con le mappe precaricate nel V3 proprio come non si sposava bene con le mappe che non andavano caricate come da indicazioni di Shiv.
Quello che invece secondo me ti farà impazzire è questo
Pare che il Patacca sia in dirittura d'arrivo, più leggo della cosa più mi viene in mente che è fatta su misura per uno smanettone come te
