N/U: Volvo C30 Performance Concept Prototype Polestar

Ritorna il tuner storico Polestar a metter mani su Volvo.
Ai più non dirà nulla questo nome, ma questo signore, assieme ad HEICO Sportiv ha messo mano alle temibili 240 e 850 STCC che hanno bastonato BMW, Ford et simila nei loro campionati turismo.
Detto questo:

Ignoro se il propulsore sia il 2.5 Turbo o il nuovo 2.0 litri turbo ad iniezione diretta di benzina.
Fatto sta che avrà 400Cv e la trazione sulle quattro ruote

 

Per ora è un Tuner "rivale" di Heico Sportiv, ed è uno dei pochi ad avere in vendita dei kit di potenziamento per i diesel D5 Volvo che non siano Heico.

A prezzi umani (650€ anzichè 1500€ della Heico)

 

Teoricamente si mantengono in parametri standard (+ 20Cv, + 30Nm) per tutte le rimappe sul D5 (da 163 fino a 205Cv, cioè da 183 a 225Cv) e fanno il test su banco rulli prima e dopo l'applicazione della loro mappa.

Peccato che Polestar non ci sia ancora in Italia.

 

Questo non te lo so dire. Ma se domandi a qualche "pazzo" della zona M ti sapranno rispondere (specifica poi se il banco deve esser per singola trazione o 4WD)

Volvo C30 Polestar Performance Concept Prototype

Premiere for concept car from Volvo Cars' official Racing and Performance Partner

This weekend Volvo Cars and Polestar enter their fifteenth consecutive motorsport season in the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) as reigning champions. But even before the racing cars exit the pit for the weekends' first practice session, Polestar now present the ultimate Volvo car for the street.

Main objective with the Volvo C30 Polestar Performance Concept Prototype is to explore what happens when racing engineers and designers get free hands to build a street car without any limitations set by a specific racing regulation.

Polestar has a long and successful competition history with Volvo, racing with 850, S40, and S60. In 2009, Polestar won the STCC for Volvo Cars with the C30, a car they developed completely from scratch.

The close relationship between Polestar and Volvo Cars in testing and development has lead up to Polestar receiving the responsibility to develop Polestar Performance Engine Optimization Products as a complement to Volvos standard cars.

These products are sold through Volvos dealers on several markets and are the only engine optimizations for Volvo cars covered by Volvos original warranty and where the certified fuel consumption and emissions remain unchanged.

With the Volvo C30 Polestar Concept Prototype, Polestar aimed to build further on the strong driving characteristics of the standard C30 and at the same time illustrate the link between the racing cars and the Polestar Performance products.

The car is based on Polestars unique experience from developing the Volvo C30 into a winning race car. The interior and exterior design reflects Polestars know-how on the C30's aerodynamic and driving properties derived through several years of development and testing - from computer simulations, to wind tunnel and race track testing.

The car will premiere for the public at Gothenburg Motor show April 22-25.

Si nota che Ford si è tolta dalle palle, e l'ufficio Marketing sta facendo un pò di sano rilancio

(prima la C30 che corre nel campionato STCC, poi questo modello TOP, poi la presentazione della S60 con il nuovo T6)
