    la news da un sito americano:

    The Courage tipped today at the port in Jersey City causing major damage to over 300 BMWs not including 70+ BMWs that were total losses.

    a majority of the destroyed vehicles were M3s (mostly in dark blue) with a variety of 3ers and 1ers smashed up as well. A small number of the cars destroyed had German Tourist plates on them, those European delivery customers will NOT be getting their cars back.

    If you were expecting your M3 or e90/92 in the next month, you're going to be in for a sad surprise.

    those cars that were a total loss will be crushed, I asked a BMW rep, he stated that they will not be auctioned as there is a liability for letting those cars on the road. The shipping company's insurance is footing the bill, I do not know how they will handle those cars that are already owned by the European Delivery customers.

    Those cars with light damage will be repaired at the Elizabeth Receiving facility and sold through BMW's dealer network as new cars.

    Il coraggio si è capovolto oggi all'orificio nella città di Jersey che causa il danno principale a più 300 BMWs ad esclusione di 70+ BMWs che erano perdite totali. una maggioranza dei veicoli distrutti era M3s (principalmente in blu scuro) con una varietà di 3ers e 1ers si è fracassato in su pure. Un piccolo numero degli automobili distrutti ha avuto loro piastre turistiche tedesche, quei clienti europei di consegna non otterrà i loro automobili posteriori. Se steste prevedendo il vostro M3 o e90/92 nel mese prossimo, state andando essere dentro per una sorpresa triste. quegli automobili che erano una perdita totale saranno schiacciato, ho chiesto un rappresentante del BMW, lui hanno dichiarato che non saranno auctioned poichè ci è una responsabilità per lasciare quegli automobili sulla strada. L'assicurazione dell'azienda di trasporto è footing la fattura, io non sa maneggieranno quegli automobili che già sono posseduti dai clienti europei di consegna. Quegli automobili con danni chiari saranno riparati al Elizabeth receiving la funzione e saranno venduti attraverso la rete di commerciante del BMW come nuovi automobili.

    ma sono scemi? quelle con danni leggeri le riparano e le vendono come nuove?

    Riassunto
    praticamente facendo manovra nel porto la nave ha toccato e si sono rovinate 300 macchine altre 70 sono totalmente distrutte.
    Quell con danno lieve verranno riparate.
    C'erano molte M3

    BMW's definition of light damage...

    It is BMW policy that any transportation damage that is repaired at the VPC is disclosed to the dealer. The dealer will get a damage disclosure report for any vehicle that has repairs done at the port, regardless of the value of the repairs.

    Any vehicle with damage that would cost 3% or more of the MSRP will not be sold as a new car. Depending on the damage, it will be repaired if it makes sense to do so, and then it will later be sold as a "used" car. Typically, they keep these cars for a period of time and use them as demos for company executives, press fleets, training purposes, etc. and then sell them at auction to BMW dealers and other dealers for resale as a used car.

    Cioè riparano tutte le auto "che ha senso riparare".
    Quelle con danno inferiore al 3% verranno vendute per nuove.
    Il resto come usato.
    Solitamente vengono usate per un periodo breve come demo, per la stampa, per le scuole di guida ecc... dopo verranno vendute all'asta alle concessionarie bmw o altre, le quali le rivenderannò come usate.

    Se becco la scuola guida che usa il nuovo M3, anche se con danno al 3% giuro che mi faccio sospendere la patente solo per rifarla.
