    forse avevi visto questo?:

"Well, I've had the Steinbauer Tuning box for a little over a week now and so thought I'd give my views on it.

It came recommended by a guy I trust, Chris Rossiter at 'Rossiters' in Norfolk. Chris is the official UK importer for AC Schnitzer but pricing that up, I simply couldn't justify it. (If i had a new BM i would pay the extra and get it though as AC take on the full BMW warranty,,,surely a price worth paying)
I decided to drive down for the day and let them fit it as it has an additioanl wire linked to the throttle to sense how the car is being driven. The big sales thing for me was the fact that it doesn't increase common rail pressure at all. I ain't technically minded but it sounded like a good thing [IMG]
Fitting was done quickly although I have no idea exactly how long as I was busy, testing their 120d that had had the full Ac Schnitzer treatment.
I drove my car down at exactly the speed limit on all roads and drove back on the same roads at the same speeds. I got 44 mpg on the way down and 47 on the way back.
Mmm more power and better economy if driven sensibly.
Performance wise its in a differant league. I did some vague timings but as I am off abroad next week and will have the timings done exactly by some timing box that a guy from a car mag will have...I'll leave posting those until later and have them compared to official BM figures.
Overall I am very impressed. Overtaking was fairly easy, now its a breeze. I'm not into 0-60 or racing from lights so cannot comment on that but with 40 or so more horses, its bound to be quicker if that floats your boat
Yes its more expensive than most others and certainly more than a re-mao. I have never had a re-map so cannot comment on them but folk seem impressed, enough said.
I am happy with what I got for my money and would recommend both the device and Rossiters..it did put my spending into perspective when people are putting £5k worth of wheels and tyres on cars that are already shod with lovely wheels......more money than sense some folk!"

    CRD 2 powerbox digital

queste dovrebbero essere le descrizioni dei due prodotti
    CR-PowerBox
for all Common Rail Diesel Motoren

adjustable Power up to 25% HP, Torque +30% Nm max.

The PowerBox CR works by modifying the electronic signals that control fuel pressure produced by the pump in order to optimize engine performance. The PowerBox CR increases fuel pressure at the pump to maintain rail pressure in the mid to upper operating ranges. In effect, pressure accumulates faster in the rail and is readily maintained to deliver more power and torque. The PowerBox CR engages when rail pressure is at or above 1,600 bar or 23,000 psi.

The PowerBox CR includes plugs that are compatible with those originally installed in your vehicle. The PowerBox CR is easily installed directly to the common rail pressure sensor. With the instructions provided, an inexperienced driver can complete the installation in 5 minutes. The PowerBox CR will not override the safe operating parameters of your engine and does not change or interfere with ECU functioning. Other features are highlighted in the product overview below.

    Product Overview

    * For all cars with Common Rail Systems
    * Up to 25% increase in power and 30% increase in torque
    * Improved fuel efficiency (an average of 2.5 MPG!)
    * No interference to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU); original settings are not altered
    * Will not harm your engine, does not increase injection pressure
    * Can be installed by use of original plugs (no soldering required)
    * Will not alter engine diagnostics functioning, will not interfere with engine error code sensing
    * Does not change the service intervals required for your vehicle
    * 3-year limited warranty
    * Illustrated installation instructions included

    CRD2 PowerBox digital

for all Common Rail Diesel engines

adjustable Power up to 25% HP, Torque +30% Nm max.

The CRD2 PowerBox is fully digital and includes a signal variation switch with multiple settings, so there's never a problem finding the setting that's best for your vehicle. You can even turn the PowerBox off while it is still connected.

The CRD2 PowerBox has been programmed for optimal performance. Power gains vary depending on engine and ECU type. CRD2 PowerBox users can expect a power improvement ranging from 25% to 55% greater than the gains achieved with our standard PowerBox CR. Essentially, the power improvement is linear to acceleration; however, a greater boost is provided when there’s an immediate demand for acceleration. This reduces the time required to pass other vehicles, and, in some cases, means less time exposure to oncoming traffic.

Despite its potential for tremendous power improvement, the CRD2 PowerBox has been programmed to provide better fuel efficiency. Its unique programming increases power when needed most. During acceleration, the injection time required to achieve higher speeds is substantially reduced. This minimizes fuel consumption. In fact, independent testing revealed fuel economy savings from 10% to 15% at signal variation settings between from “3” to “6.”

The CRD2 PowerBox includes an extended 31" wiring harness to provide greater reach for installation. Each unit comes complete with detailed illustrated instructions and is backed by our 3-year limited warranty.

    * Up to 25% increase in power and 30% increase in torque
